6.7.2009 Epic Changes
Sad, but true...
Our drummer Andrian "Somna" Avdyunin and guitarist Evgeniy "Hök" Kazhentsev leave the band at this day.
"We discussed multiple times that we like the music other than Svartby; now the time has come when we don't want to play this style of music at all. We decided to leave. We won't lie neither to you nor to ourselves. The problem is not you or your music, it's just we want something rather different. Hope you'll understand our decision."
The band hopes that all of our friends and fans will also understand the decision the guys made. We are very thankful for all they've done in the development of Svartby and wish them good luck.
Despite this heavy loss, Svartby won't give up of course! Show must go on! All the gig activity and composing new material will not be stopped.

"Riv, Hugg och Bit" will be released on August, 29 by Trollzorn label. We wait the release as you do, so have patience, guys ;)

We finally finished the epic saga of mix and mastering the new "dwarf album" Riv, Hugg och Bit! The release is planned for the end of June - beginning of July at Trollzorn label. And now you can hear two new tracks from the coming album at our MySpace and /or download them from here. Have a nice day!

22.7.2008 Svartby signed at Trollzorn
Svartby is now signed at Trollzorn label, Germany. Our next two releases will be issued in the Trollzorn cave.
We are planning to start record sessions of our second full-length in the end of October. The new album "Riv, Hugg och Bit" (Rip, Chop and Bite) will be devoted to dwarves of the Black Village.
